Welding and coating inspection, wherever your project takes place

Dilenza is a specialist welding inspection company providing qualified inspectors for fabrication facilities, construction sites, shipyards, manufacturing plants and industrial projects worldwide.

We support clients requiring independent welding inspection, coating inspection or continuous on-site surveillance. Each inspector is selected according to the project scope, applicable standards, required certification, industry experience, location, language and assignment duration.

Our role is to place the right technical professional where the work is being performed—and to provide the continuity needed to follow it effectively.

The right inspector does more than verify the work. They protect the technical continuity of the project.

About Dilenza

Diligence is built into our name

The name Dilenza is inspired by the Italian word diligenza: diligence, care, accuracy and conscientious attention.

These principles define how we approach inspection.

Welding and coating activities involve details that cannot be treated as routine. Procedures, materials, environmental conditions, application parameters, workmanship and documentation must be reviewed with care and evaluated against the correct project requirements.

Our mission is to help industrial organizations maintain confidence in their projects by providing competent inspectors wherever—and for as long as—they are needed.

Our solutions

Specialist inspection solutions

Dilenza's core technical strengths are welding and protective coatings, supported by independent vendor inspection for industrial equipment, fabrication and manufacturing projects.

Welding Inspection Services

Qualified welding inspectors support fabrication, construction, installation, repair and maintenance activities before, during and after welding.

Depending on the project scope, inspection may include documentation review, material verification, traceability checks, welding procedure review, welder qualification verification, visual inspection, parameter monitoring, NDT witnessing, dimensional checks and final dossier review.

Coating Inspection Services

Certified coating inspectors verify surface preparation, environmental conditions, coating materials, application activities, curing, testing, repairs and final acceptance.

Inspection activities may include surface-cleanliness assessment, profile measurement, climatic-condition monitoring, wet and dry film thickness measurement, holiday testing, adhesion testing and coating documentation review.

Vendor Inspection Services

Independent inspection at manufacturers and suppliers during fabrication, assembly, testing and final verification. Vendor inspection can follow project-defined ITP hold points, witness points, FAT activities, documentation requirements and manufacturing milestones.

Resident Inspectors

For projects requiring continuous oversight, Dilenza provides resident welding inspectors and resident coating inspectors who remain at the fabrication facility or project site for an agreed period.

A resident inspector develops a detailed understanding of the project, follows activities as they progress and maintains consistency across inspection records, reporting, communication and follow-up.

Project Inspector Deployment

We support the identification and mobilization of inspectors for individual locations, multiple vendors and international projects.

Candidate profiles are reviewed against the technical and operational requirements of the assignment before being presented to the client.

Assignment types

One inspector. Every project duration.

Inspection requirements vary throughout the life of a project. Dilenza supports assignments ranging from a single intervention to continuous multi-year deployment.

Discuss Your Assignment
  • 01

    Individual Inspection Visit

For a defined activity, witness point, production stage, final verification or technical concern.

  • 02

    Short-Term Assignment

For fabrication periods, shutdowns, repairs, commissioning activities or temporary increases in inspection workload.

  • 03

    Recurring Inspection Program

For projects requiring regular visits at agreed stages, production milestones or inspection hold points.

  • 04

    Resident Inspector Assignment

For continuous full-time or rotational presence at a supplier, fabrication facility, construction site or project location.

  • 05

    Multi-Site Project Coverage

For projects involving several manufacturers, subcontractors, yards or locations requiring coordinated welding or coating inspection support.

One day or several years. The same diligence, the same clarity and the same accountability.

Project lifecycle

Inspection throughout the project lifecycle

From planning to close-out, our inspectors stay involved at the stages that matter most.

  1. Before Work Begins

Inspectors can review project specifications, inspection and test plans, procedures, personnel qualifications, material documentation, equipment status and readiness for production.

The objective is to identify missing information, conflicting requirements or unsuitable conditions before they affect the work.

  2. During Fabrication or Application

Inspectors monitor the activities being performed, verify compliance with approved documentation, witness required tests and hold points, and maintain objective inspection records.

Continuous involvement allows concerns to be identified while corrective action remains practical.

  3. Final Verification and Close-Out

Inspectors support final visual and dimensional checks, coating tests, documentation review, punch-list follow-up, nonconformity closure and preparation of the final inspection records required for acceptance.

Industries

Industries we support

Our welding and coating inspectors support projects in industries where fabrication quality, corrosion protection and reliable documentation are critical.

Qualifications

Certified expertise aligned with your requirements

The correct inspector profile depends on the project—not only on the service title. Dilenza reviews the qualifications, standards knowledge, sector experience, location and technical background required for each assignment.

Depending on the project specification, inspector profiles may include:

  • AWS Certified Welding Inspectors
  • CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspectors
  • CSWIP 3.2 Senior Welding Inspectors
  • International Welding Inspectors
  • AMPP Coating Inspectors
  • FROSIO Surface Treatment Inspectors
  • BGAS-CSWIP Painting Inspectors
  • Inspectors holding relevant NDT qualifications

Our inspectors can support projects governed by international, regional, client-specific and industry-specific requirements, including applicable AWS, ASME, API, ISO, EN, AMPP, SSPC and project standards.

Welding

  • AWS D1.1
  • ASME IX
  • API 1104
  • ISO 3834
  • ISO 9606
  • ISO 5817
  • EN 1090

Coating

  • ISO 12944
  • ISO 8501
  • ISO 8503
  • ISO 19840

Certification alone is not enough. The selected inspector must also understand the materials, processes, documentation, operating environment and responsibilities involved in the assignment.
